Why does my Steinberg program crash when I load a specific Plug-in?

A crash at this point can occur as a result of:

  • Corrupt or improper plug-in installation
  • Insufficient system memory (RAM)
  • Incompatible Plug-in
  • Plug-in is not VST 2.3 compliant
  • Not running the latest version of the plug-in
  • The plug-in is NOT dual-processor compliant
  • Outdated version of Direct-X (PC only)
  • Plug-in's copy-protection is not present, corrupt or expired
  • Plug-in content cannot be found or loaded
  • The Plug-in is powered by dedicated hardware (UAD-1, Powercore, etc) and is:
    • Sharing resources with other computer resources
    • Improperly installed
    • Damaged
    • Incompatible with a specific OS version
