When using the LFE Splitter and LFE Combiner from the Steinberg Surround edition in Nuendo 2.0, why won't some channels work like they did in Nuendo 1.6?
The reason some channels with the LFE Splitter and combiner will not work in Nuendo 2.0 as they did in Nuendo 1.6 is because the order of the surround outputs has changed from Nuendo 1.6 to Nuendo 2.0.
With Nuendo 1.0/1.6, a typical 6 channel surround sound bus was structured as follows:
- Left
- Right
- Left Surround
- Right Surround
- Center
- LFE
The order in which a 6 channel surround sound bus is now structured in Nuendo 2.0 is as follows:
- Left
- Right
- Center
- LFE
- Left Surround
- Right Surround
As are result of this change, some channels in the LFE Splitter and Combiner will not function in Nuendo 2.0 because the routing has changed. Luckily, working in 5.1 does not render the LFE Combiner and Splitter useless. Working in 7.0 or 7.1 unfortunately results in an inability to fully utilize these plug-ins in Nuendo2.0. A fix to address the 7.0/7.1 issue is currently in the works.
