Sometimes if I edit audio events in Nuendo, the waveforms disappear.

It is possible for this to happen when you are running Nuendo on Windows 2000 and using a Matrox graphics card with a G400 chip. You may be able to keep this from happening by lowering the hardware acceleration by a little bit. To access this option, right-click on the desktop and choose Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting.
