I have Yamaha Motif XF7 Tow weeks ago.. and this my first time that i use Motif. i never Have it before .it is very nice keyboard.i want help from motif users if i load new voice on my keyboard. does it lose my factory voices?

Had the Motif XF 8 for only two weeks, so I’m currently going through, and appreciate a huge learning curve ahead, but what a joy to play on and with.
Thanks Yamaha, you’ve done real good with this addition to the fine line of Motif keyboards…

XF is really powerful machine. But, I would raise one question regarding 8 elements voices, since I saw that also when I first tried XS. Most voices in this library is 1 or 2 or up to 4 elements voices, like in my ES! There are just a few of them with all 8 elements using XA. Since XS and now XF are synths based on 8 elements XA technology, I think that new voice libraries should use that power. Instead, I don’t know why should I buy a new machine to play voices that I have already on my ES. Especially when I also have three different voice synthesis from plug-in boards (VL,AN,DX) that no more exist on XS and XF. Just to clarify, I know where is the power and benefits on the XF side, but that power should be clearly emphasize. Alex
