I'm trying to set up a midi star network.I have 3 keyboards hooked to a 4x4 midi thru gate.I want to add an old Roland module to a Korg poly 800 keyboard. The Korg doesn't have a midi thru,(the Roland does)and I haven't been able to find any refference in the manual to a midi local on/off switch on the Korg.
If I use the Korg as the master, and my main keyboard for all my VST instruments, what are all the midi connections I have to make.I thought of using the Roland as the master, and then just turning it off when I'm using the Korg's midi bank, but if I simply turn off either the master or he slave in a daisy chain, aren't I disconnecting the circuit?

If I start to experience latency with my midi or my VST instruments,is there a simple or inexpensive way to combat it?
Do I try to switch from USB to Firewire?

Hello,

What kind of audio interface or soundcard are you using?

Thank you.
