Wavelab CD problem

Wavelab CD problem

I recently purchased WL6 and as a first time user I’ve spent the first few days learning the basics, but now I’ve hit a wall. I never checked the CD burning capabilities before updating to 6.10 so I don’t know if this problem existed before the update or if the update is the culprit.
The “Hl-dt-st DVDRRW GSA-H30L Device” shows up in WL, and I can import tracks from this drive, but I can’t burn a CD. WL starts the burn process and after a few seconds I get;

Unknown CD writing error
Complementary error information notified by the CD recorder's driver:
Error while writing pre gap for track 1.
Hl-dt-st DVDRRW GSA-H30L (E:) NO SENSE NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 2A 00 FF FF FF 6A 00 00 0D 00

I’ve placed the wnaspi32.dll in the WL folder, uninstalled ASPI, and WL couldn’t find either of my drives.
I placed a copy of the wnaspi32.dll in C/Windows/System32. No change.
Then I restored the FrogAspi.dll to the WL folder, ( I was instructed to use the renamed wnaspi32.dll from frog.org) and now I’m back to where I started. The “Hl-dt-st DVDRRW GSA-H30L Device” shows up in WL, and I can import tracks from this drive, but I can’t burn a CD. WL starts the burn process and after a few seconds I get the error message.

C S4 can import from this drive. WMP and Sonic can burn on this drive. ????

Athlon 64X2 5600+ 2.8ghz | 4GB 800mhz | Presonus Firebox | Cubase Studio 4.1 | WaveLab 6.1 |Vista Home Premium.
I haven’t activated any aspect of Media center, so I don’t believe it’s the problem and I’ve been running CS4 on this Vista machine without any problems at all. Ideas anyone?
Thanks
Mike
