Swooner:

There are a number of things you can do. Below are just a couple suggstions. With some reading through the manual in more detail, you will be able to open up other creative ways to accomplish what you want to achieve.

1. Launch Groove Agent 3 as an "Intrument Track." Once you have this launched, preview the different sounds, kits and styles. When you hit play, GA 3 will follow the tempo.

2. Launch GA3 as a VSTi. Now, create a MIDI track and make sure the MIDI output is set to GA3. You can now write in MIDI notes, buliding a track of your liking. You will need to find which MIDI note is say Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Hi-Hat, etc. Tweak the GA3 user interface to achieve your desired sound.

Have fun experimenting with GA3 and let me know if you have any additional questions. Hopefully, these 2 small suggestions can get you started.
