Whenever I send channels (say channel A and B) to an FX channel, they lose their panning!! IE, if I have drums overheads panned left (ch A) and panned right (ch B), and I send them to an FX channel for some compression, both channel A and B lose their 'right' and 'left' panning.
Seems like there has to be a fix for this; I can't IMAGINE that you lose panning when sending channels to FX.
Please help!
Thanks.

You probably have a mono effects track. You wouldn't want to use an effects track from a compression plugin. they are usually used for reverb or delay type plugin's If you want to use one compressor over multiple tracks, you would want to send the tracks to a group channel and put the effect on the group channel.
Thanks

Thanks.
You are correct: the drum tracks are all mono. This is your typical drum kit recording scenario. Overhead left and overhead right are on separate mono tracks. I'm experimenting with different compressors, eq's, etc., so it would be nice to send those effects to one track so I can A/B the sounds. I hope sending both mono tracks (panned hard left and hard right) to a group channel will maintain the panning mix.
