Rewire Outs
      #8710 - 09/15/08 09:03 AM

Is there some reason why rewire tracks in my projects disappear?

Everytime I load a new project file I need to reassign all my rewire outputs and rename them?

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks in advance

What version of Studio 4 are you running? If you have not done so already, please update to 4.5 and retest the issue with a new project.

Thanks

hi Jeff,

I've updated to 4.5.2 and on the whole it's good, however what seems to be happening in any given project is that not all rewire "inputs" are appearing as per the Rack and there are problems with remembering names, or at least some names are remembered inadvertantly.

There is also an issue with respect to hardware remotes skipping over rewire channels altogether, as well I cannot use rewire busses arbitrarily in a project ie., they always must be at the end unlike VST outputs from the VST rack.

I hope these issues can be addressed because I feel it is very important at least not for me but the future of the program itself.

Thanks again for all your time.

Thanks Jeff I appreciate that very much indeed.

Just to let you know what else is happening I am finding that with respect to the return channels of VST instruments instantiated via the rack, that upon deleting of their names, they come back as per generic "synth" when re-opening a project file upon reloading of the program.

Also, I have not yet tried a new project since because the program works so well I don't need to but I have been aware of copying and pasting issues between projects and thus do not venture there unless absolutely necessary because I will note that regarding tempo, once I set the tempo map in terms of time, whenever I activate it it starts back at 120bpm and I think some work should be done in this regard to improve the overall tempo-map interface generally because among other issues I am experiencing the following:

I'm hoping that as App. specialist you can have these issues addressed at a higer level because as I am acutely aware the system itself is working quite well, however it would seem that for the sake of robustness in operation certain "flaws" have been exposed.

Thanks again for your quality time
