Hey guys!
I'm new here with a pretty confusing question... at least as far as I'm concerned!
My problem is with my audio playback. I can record audio... I can see Cubase reading the sounds and taking them in, but when I go to play it back I hear nothing. I have looked at the most major sound devices for my computer as possible. The one that makes the computer / iTunes sound is SoundMAX Digital Audio.
I have no idea what the setting needs to be. Any ideas? If you need any additional information, let me know!
Thanks in advance!

Be sure to turn off the record enable button and the monitor button on the audio track before playing back.
Are you using an audio interface or only the built in sound card?

I have a Lexicon Omega interface. I'm tried the record/monitor button issue before with no results. I have converted the audio into MP3 with iTunes and hear it perfectly, but just can't hear it through Cubase for editing.

To hear audio playback of your project while recording, you can try turning off Direct Monitoring in Cubase. To do this, go to Devices, select Device Setup and select the Lexicon Omega listing right below the VST Audio System listing. After that, uncheck the Direct Monitoring box and click on Apply and OK.
Hope this helps.
