That is a file associate with Microsoft works. This error usually happens when Microsoft works is removed from the machine. If you google the name of the file there are lots of resources that explain how to to care of that windows error or you can contact microsoft.
Thanks

With cubase closted go to start then all programs. Find Steinberg Cubase in the list. Select application data folder. Trash the contents of this folder. Then, relaunch Cubase and see if you are still receiving the error.

Click on Start then programs. Find Steinberg Cubase LE in the list. Then you should see steinberg cubase le application data folder. Open this folder. Delete the contents of the folder then relaunch Cubase.

Greetings & thanks for helping with our (DJRy95's) problem. We have reinstalled Cubase LE 1.0.10 numerous times now and the "wkwinuni.DLL cannot be found" message was finally resolved by adding the appropriate Microsoft Works folder to the computer's PATH setting. Our problem now is that Cubase will not open. When we try to start Cubase, it seems to hang. The on-screen message says that it's initializing; and Cubase runs through a slew of files very quickly, but when it gets to CFGWZRES it just sits. We tried those last things you suggested: clicked on Start then Programs and found Steinberg Cubase LE. However, all that's listed are a couple of ASIO options; the main Cubase LE 1.0.10 option; an option for registering Cubase; uninstall; and documentation. No Application Data option. Is there a file name I can search the hard drive for? Can you suggest something for this (hopefully last) problem with Cubase appearing to hang on CFGWZRES? I've attached a printscreen. Thanks!

That file is associated with your anti virus. I don't know why cubase would be scanning that file unless you have your c: selected as your plugin's folder.
Thanks
