Cubase 4
      #7772 - 07/22/08 04:03 PM

I use Wavelab 6 for two track editing but need to use Cubase 4 to multitrack edit within my sessions. Basically, these are classical multitrack sessions where I need to replace one take with another and create a master track. These multitrack edited files will then be mixed at a later date. Can anyone lay this out for me?? Setting markers and regions and cutting/pasting/crossfades is nothing like Wavelab. (Why can't this be done like ProTools, Pyramix?? Wha is Steinberg thinking?)Or to be more direct, why can't I edit multitrack sessions like ProTools...Set markers, highlight the entire multitrack region, cut and paste it to another region and then crossfade?

Did you record the takes on top of each other or at different points on the timeline? There are several ways you go about doing this. Let me know and i can give you a more detailed of a couple of methods.

Thanks
