does Cubase Studio 4 offer audio mixdown/ export in MP3 format?
I do not have the option to do so, and always have to export in WMA or Wave format, then convert to MP3 using an outside source
this ALWAYS sacrifices audio quality, and because I use this software and Cubase LE (which currently offers NO upgrade for an unlimited MP3 converter), I am stuck.
help please, or am I doing something wrong?

ok-
so can you recommend the best way for me to export my audio mixdowns via wave or wma, and convert it to mp3 (using a converter) so i do not lose any audio quality?
(do you know what i mean by losing audio quality?, the audio quality diminishes and sounds bad when i have converted to mp3 in the past/ what is the best mp3 converter to use, and do different converters offer different qualities?)

MP3 in Studio 4 is a paid upgrade patch.

ok i purchased and downloaded the patch.
i opened up my CS4 program and tried to export to mp3, but there is no option to do so. an mp3 option was not there.
what do i do/ how do i use this patch?

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 4\components\AudioCodecs, see if there's a file called MP3 Audio Handler .dll there. If not, do a Search and move it there if found. Wasn't there a Read Me file with the patch that explained installation?

ok, i did locate that .dll , and moved it into the folder you told me to (it was in a different one).
so, should that now offer me an mp3 export?
and, i don't recall a readme on this download, where would i find that?

I don't know too much about it, I run the full version of C4 that includes MP3 export. I was just trying to point you in the right direction. Is MP3 available in the Export menu, now?
