I installed Cubase 4 and installed my Presonus Audiobox software. When I load up Cubase LE 4 I get this popup, "The audio input is not activated. Recording audio is not possible. Click on ASIO control panel button in the system (VST) or Device Setup (Nuendo) dialog. Make sure a device is selected in the Input Ports section and activate the corresponding check box in the first column."
As a heads up, I am using Vista.
I went into the device setup and saw the input and outputs. However, I couldn't figure out how to move the Audiobox to the inputs and active it... I am new to Cubase LE can someone help me figure out how to set this up to work?
On a sidenote, once I loaded up my Audiobox, if I try to play a music file in winamp or watch a video on YouTube with sound my computer freezes. Does anyone know why it would cause my computer to freeze and what I should do?
Thank you!

As an update: Now when I load up Cubase LE 4 it will begin intiallizing and it freezes (not responding) once it get to initializing the ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Driver.
I think it has something to do with the Audiobox because I had restarted and the windows startup sound came out of my monitors that are hooked in through the Audiobox. Then, I loaded up Cubase LE and ran into the issue above. I learned my lesson from trying to uninstall and reinstall last time so I am going to wait for feedback from the forum to see what I should do. It is frustrating being frozen while trying to start the program.

Try disconnecting the Audiobox and then open Cubase. After Cubase opens, plug the Audiobox into your computer. Once your computer recognizes the Audiobox, go to the Devices menu in Cubase and select Device Setup and then VST Audio System. In VST Audio System, switch the master ASIO driver to the Presonus Audiobox driver.
Hope this helps.

Brad, I did that and once I switched it to the Audiobox the computer started thinking and wouldn't finish. I checked the tast manager and Cubase LE was "not responding". I have run into so many issues is it possible I have faulty software? It stops responding a lot and won't load correctly most of the time. Am I missing a driver download or something? Any ideas on why that would cause it to stop responding?
Thanks

Go to Sounds And Audio in Windows Control Panel and switch to your onboard soundcard for all the options. Some drivers are not Multi-client and can only be used by one app at a time. When you get into Cubase, switch to the Presonus ASIO driver in Device Setup.

If Cubase is freezing when trying to initialize the Presonus driver, Try going to the Presonus website and download and install the latest update for the Firebox driver. After installing the driver, restart your computer and try switching to the AudioBox driver again.
