Using effects with fx tracks.....
      #6778 - 05/04/08 08:03 PM

I always use the Fx tracks I open Fx tracks insert a effect, and after I go to a track to assign SO I can hear the sound and the effect in the same time.
If I am in the track which is assigned to Fx track and I hear both the effect and the sound too. When I raise the fader the volume and the effect goes up (loud)How can I do to raise only the effect and the volume to stay the same.In some Cubase Demos I have notice that.So anybody can tell me how to do this.Thank you for your time.

Hello,

I'm sorry, do you mean that you want to change the volume of the audio track and have the FX track stay at the same volume? To do this, put the send on Pre-Fader. This is the the icon to the right of the power button, left of the e (inspector) button on the send. When the track is in Pre-Fader, the icon will be orange. Thank you.

Once you have an effect loaded on an FX track, you select it as a Send on the Audio track you want it to affect and use the little blue dot to control the level of signal sent to the effect. You leave the Fader on the FX channel at 0db.
