I have a Dell/Windows XP and use Cubase Studio and a Lexicon Omega. Here’s my situation; Some web pages have short embeded sound files …(push the button, it shows up as a transport and vol. control, streams an MP3 ?, and its done) I want to capture these clips in Cubase but I don’t exactly know how. One method would be to patch the speaker output (1/8 jack) on the computer to the input (1/4 jack) on the Lexicon, but is there a way to do it on the internal computer bus? Windows XP comes with something called SoundMAX Audio Device for playing regular audio sound on one’s computer. If I boot Cubase without the Lexicon powered up, Cubase audio sez that SoundMAX Audio is the default but that it can’t find it. Any ideas?

It's not something that can be done internally. Routing an out to an in could potentially work.
Thanks
