I've mapped the outputs properly, but when I open a new project in 4 Stereo/8 Mono, I get a "Missing Ports" window. All of my left and rights under SoundMAX say that the In is "Unmapped." When I click on Unmapped (in red), the only drop-down I get is "Not Connected" with a checkmark. Help! I can't record anything!
Attached is the photo of the window.
Thanks
p.s. I'm downloading the update now. I also just downloaded and installed the update to ASIO
p.s.s. I guess I already had the proper update, so that's not the answer. I'm using Vista Business and the mixer is attached via USB, if this helps. Although, it still didn't work when I attempted to attach it the old-fashioned way with RCA cables.

Still no answer? Is this uncommon? It looks like a fairly common issue since the window says "unmapped ports." I don't know. I'm at a loss. I'll have to go buy another program that is compatible, I guess. No more relying on combined products.

Hello,
Try going to File, New Project, and selecting the "empty" template instead.
Thank You,

You need to select your specific ASIO driver in Devices-Device Setup-VST Audio System. The Direct X driver is a bridge to be used only in the event your device doesn't have it's own.
