I am having a issue where after I have recorded my audio and do a mixdown the playback volume is extremely low. I cannot successfully repeat what i recorded so I need to figure out how to take what ive already done and make it record louder. Please advise.

What are you using to playback the file? Is it quiet compared to Cubase or other audio cds? Generally, any mixdown will be quiet until it is mastered or ran through a limiter. You may try using the Cubase Limiter on the output channel and increasing the input gain a little. The Maximizer plugin should work as well.

Compared to other audio cds. Once you mixdown and burn to a cd the volume is extremly low. Im new to cubase so can you give in detail how to use the cubase limiter on the output channel. What is a maximizer plugin?

Mastering is a whole science unto itself, and there is quite a bit that goes into it. We have a great book called "Mastering Audio" as well as several videos on Mastering... "Audio Mastering Series" and Mixing and Mastering .
These will get you going, and all the concepts presented can be applied to Cubase the the tools in Cubase.
hope that helps,

I did some of the suggestions in the output channel and that helped alot, but can i go back on a already recoreded track and increase the output volume to burn to a cd for a louder output? I will also look into purchasing the dvds

Try going into the project and right click on the problem track. Go to process and click on gain. Then you can adjust to desired level. ( this helps alot in correcting quiet passages)

You can go back into older projects and adjust things on the stereo output.
Thanks
