hi, have just installed studio4 from SL3, and its pretty good I must say, only thing is when ive tried to use the amp simulator theres nothing there. when i opened an old file and used the simulator it was great, worked for about 30 seconds then went dead. have tried recording new guitar tracks and using it but still nothing there, i can hear a hiss from the overdrive channels on it but no guitar sounds. all the other previous distortion and delay effects work fine. is it something im not doing? being a novice? many thanks for any info.

Is the amp simulator only not working on one track?
Also, be sure to install the 4.1.2 update from www.steinberg.net. (Check and make sure that you have version 4.1.0 installed. If not, you will have to install the 4.1.0 update before installing the 4.1.2 update)

the amp simulator wasnt working on any tracks, just a hissing when using the heavier sounds, otherwise silence, it now comes on intermittently and is working on some tracks not on others. now ive put down 8 or 9 tracks, 9guitars, bass drum, snare, and strings, and the sounds starts fine but then breaks up and crackles after 4 or 5 bars, then seems to be fine after that. not sure if ive done something wrong.
can i download the updates remomtely as the computer isnt internet connects as its in a different room.? if i save the update on a removable disc will it work?
