Matching parts/event levels
      #5611 - 02/09/08 12:43 AM

Hi, after singing a vocal, at times the vocal event may be lower than the other vocal parts/events. I know about the Gain and Normalizer function, I want to find out by the numbers the level of the other parts/events to make the necessary adjustment. Can this be done and how?

When you record your vocal part, be sure that you are consistantly singing at the same distance from the microphone. If you need to adjust the volume of a track later, you can open the mixer window (F3) and adjust volume levels accordingly there. There should be no need to process/normalize audio at this stage.

Hope this helps.

Bradhoy, thanks. I agree with what you have stated. I guess I was just trying to see if there were any tricks to get to the same place.
