Would there be any reason why when I have a selection of MIDI tracks open in the Key Editor and they are "soloed" that immediately when I select the List Editor for the chosen tracks, everything else plays.

There is a solo editor button in each editor that are independent of each other.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your reply.

I understand that the solo buttons are separate for each editor but I don't really think it's in anyones interests, least of all my own, that it should be this way and I do sincerely feel I should at least have some sort of choice on how it works because usually it means I am either barraged by a "wall of sound" or I have to go though a multiple stage process in order to solo a particular selection of tracks in addition to having selected them initially in order to edit them notwithstanding the "select track solo feature"

My regards

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for passing my feature suggestion on.

I'd also like to know if you would comment on the following "annoyance".

Thanks again and I look forward to your reply.

I have also noticed new behaviour with autoscroll, which to me is welcome, however it changes when one clicks on the timeline and I don't really know if that's a positive thing.

What does anyone think?

What changes when you click on the timeline?

Hi Jeff,

I know this is a slow moving forum and thats ok because it means that important questions can be answered.

As for the the current question..

If I have Autoscroll on while cycling a part in the Key Editor say, and then click on a note, scrolling stops, which is the desired behaviour for me however once the scrolling has actually stopped; providing the sequencer is not playing anything back then, when I click on the timeline scrolling starts back up, which I find to be somewhat annoying because if I had wanted Autoscroll enabled for the current playback "part" then I would have clicked on it prior to clicking on Play in the Transport Bar.

Thanks again and I hope to hear from you soon.

Try it with autoscroll turned off.

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

That would defeat the purpose would it not?

Depends on the situation and how you like to work. But what you are describing is how it currently functions. toggling it on or off depending on the situation might help in those situations.

I am honestly grateful at how it works now I only just think that it shouldn't turn back on simply because I've clicked on the ruler or timeline as it were.

Thanks again

Thank you Jeff, it is much appreciated.

If the product request is still open and active I'd like to add that the Automatic Switching behaviour may be greatly enhanced if it were somehow able to know exactly the locator size in relation to the screen, ie., how much "ground" is covered in order to ascertain whether it should switch on for example.

Thanks again for taking the time to read my posts.

Hi Jeff,

Since we are on the subject, do you have any thoughts regarding the current behaviour of how when close to the extremes of a project which is in view, if you "sail" up close to the right side of the screen, it so-called whizzes off to the very end while engaged.

I've been thinking about it and I can understand in the case of long a very project such as what would be in a program such as Nuendo, but in the case of Cubase Studio I do feel that it is quite inappropriate.

Thanks again for your time and bye for now
