Hello! I was hoping someone could assist me with the following multitrack issue:
I'm using Cubase SX3 and Virtual Guitarist (Elec. Edition). I launched VG twice in the VST Instruments window & setup two seperate MIDI tracks linked to each VST seperately. I've drawn MIDI information in the tracks for each (telling it what notes/chords to play when). Great, both VSTs are playing individually on their seperate tracks. But here's my problem: I want one version of VG to play a POP-BLUES setting, and the other to play a POP-INDEPENDANT setting. When I play back, both VSTs are playing the same style setting. Every time I try to change one, it also changes the other. So (alas, lol) here's my question:
Is there a way to play the same VST (in this case Virtual Guitarist) in two different tracks, loaded seperately, but have them play TWO different styles at the same time?
Whew! I appreciate any help with this problem. Sry for the lenghty post!

lol, funny, just answered my own question after posting!
Just make sure that each MIDI track is assigned to each VST seperatly (i.e. MIDI track 1 > Virtual Guitar 1 / MIDI track 2 > Virtual Guitar 2). You can then set the styles they play seperately.
Well, if anyone runs into this, here's the answer!

When you go to Devices and select VST Instruments, You can load 2 instances of Virtual Guitarist. When you have seperate instances of the software, you can select one instance for one MIDI track and second instance for another MIDI track - You can then assign different setting to both instances - once instance will not effect the other.
Hope this helps.
