Re: Exporting Your Project for Burning to CD [Re: wbright]

I was in the middle of exporting some files to my desktop to later convert onto a CD and then in the middle of the process my Cubase just stopped responding to my command. I would click on export, and then audio mixdown. The cursor on my screen would change into an hourglass for a second, then back to the arrow and that was it. The menu for exporting files never comes up.

Hello,

What operating system are you on? Have you made any changes at all to your system in the time between when this worked and when it stopped working? Is it only happening in this one project (open a new project, import an audio file and then export it)?

Quote:

Yeah i got a question about audio mixdowns. I am using a Cubase LE. I bought the MP3 update since i had run out of MP3 exports from this website. After loading it no problem, i recorded a song. But now, I can't export. Cubase just tells me that "an error occured during export." I went back and tried to export every other song that I have already created and i'm getting the same error. Even a brand new project won't export with nothing recorded.

Have you ever seen this?

I'm having this same problem now and I've tried exporting as different types of files with no success. It was all working fine and then all of a sudden I'm not able to export anything.

Something extra [Re: NQLucas]
      #3273 - 06/01/07 10:44 AM

And just to add on...I was trying again to get the project exported and then it said something about the MP3 encoder when I tried to export it as an MP3 file, saying that I've exceeded my use of 20 or that my 30-day trial period has expired. (Something to that affect, at least.) P.S. My previous entry from 5-17-07 was the result of the type of windows I was using. So I switched everything over to a different computer which is when this new issue starting occuring. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

We recently purchased Cubase LE and the Lexicon Omega for our Church. I’m having some trouble with the mixdown. At this point, I’m not using any automation, but I have Ctrl-A P to set the end points. When I mix down in WAV or mp3, the length of the track seen by roxio is 122 minutes. When I mixdown to a WAV, the file size is about 630MB (and 122 min) for a 20 minute 1 channel talk or a 1 hour 4 channel song service. I’m using 16 bit, 44K. As a result, I can’t get anything on a CD.

Also, when I try to mix down to a WMA, I get “An error occurred during export.”

Thoughts?

Thanks, dale

Hello,

Usually 122 mins is too long for a CD. Most CDs are limited to 80 mins. Are you sure that it is not registering in Roxio as 1:22:00 (1 hour, 22 mins). Are you exporting to .wav, stereo interleaved, 44.1 khz, 16 bit? You probably need to cut down at least 2 mins to fit these tracks all on one CD.

Hello,

You do not want to select the cpr file. When you select Export Audio Mixdown, you are creating a new file, that you can save anywhere. You can save it to the same folder as your cpr file, but you cannot save it as the cpr file because it is not a cpr file (its a .wav).

Hello,

When I export my songs from Cubase LE, only 2 minutes actually get exported to my PC. I have all the normal settings I'm aware of, 44.100 kHz sample rate, 16 bit resolution, Stereo Interleaved. Any idea what would cause this?

Thanks
