Speed Up or Slow Down like Tape Transport?
|
|
I know how to time stretch and how to transpose, but is there a way to speed up or slow down a song or track (audio), mechanically, similar to a speed/pitch control on a cassette or tape player?

Hello,
The way that I do it is to right click on the event that I was to change, choose process, and then select Pitch Shift. Inside of Pitch Shift there is an option in the lower right for Time Correction. Uncheck this option and the pitch change should effect the recordings pitch and speed of playback similar to a tape deck being slowed down.

Thanks Chris, but unfortunately there is no option for Pitch Shift, under Process, when right clicking an event, using LE 4. Did I overlook something? I wish to be able to correct the tempo and pitch from some of my antique (and irreplaceable) cassette recordings, using Cubase.

Hello,
I'm sorry I tested this is C4, LE4 does not include pitch shift. This feature is in Cubase Studio 4 and Cubase 4. Thank you.
