music creation & production system

Im using cubase le music creation & production system with a m-audio firewire solo interface on an apple imac osx computer. i need to know how to switch my mono recording to stereo. Ive tried to drag from project to project and on everything i do my audio recording go to mute or will read "mismatch" please explain to me in steps how to change my old mono recording into stereo. Thank you

Hello,
Do you have multiple mono tracks that you are trying to mix down? If so, then you can pan each track into a stereo field. If you want to make a single mono track appear to be in stereo, then I would suggest adding some stereo reverb to it or using a stereo expander.
