how to delete unused audio files?

Hi, I'm using Nuendo 3
I guess this is a simple question..

When I'm recording, supose I'm recording in a track called Audio1
So I make 10 takes.. I get Audio1_01,Audio1_02,...,Audio1_10

Now supose I am making a mix, and in the project I only use Audio1_10. The other ones are not good, I delete them in the project.

But after this, and saving, and exiting, when I see the folder Audio, the 10 takes remain there.

So the question is what option or what should I do so Nuendo only keeps in the Audio folder the takes that are present in the mix, deleting "trash". It's mainly because of disk space.. I have allways to go and delete unused takes in the folder mannually, and looking to the project to see if I'm not deleting used takes!

Thanks!

Re: how to delete unused audio files?

Nuendo does not delete files off your hard drive when you delete them from your project. This ensures that you do not permanently delete anything important as well as the ability to use the "undo" command.

Go to Project-->Pool. Right click on the AUDIO folder and choose "remove unused media". This will remove all files in your pool that are not active in your project.
