I am wondering if anyone can tell me what setting my buffer should be on in Cubase Studio 4, in regards to Groove Agent 3? I am getting random "scratching/ popping/ clicking" sounds and am wondering if my buffer has anyhing to do with it? (I am running Windows XP sp 2) - my current "retrospective buffer size" is set to 10,000 events, which I believe is the default amount, as I have never changed it yet. HELP??? (thank you)

I'm running with the default 10000 and have no issues. I did have some pops and cracks and I adjusted the Disk Preload in the Devices section to 2 seconds and they disappeared. I'm running Vista, but otherwise we seem to have a simialr setup - FireWire 410 and GA3... |

I'm sorry i didn't see the reply to the post. There isn't an optimum buffer size. It varies between machines. I would start at 256 or 512 if you are hearing pops and clicks and raise it incrementally until you do not experience the pops and clicks. Thanks |
