Envelope Pitch Shift doesn't work
|
Hello guys, I just found out a new bug...
I wanted to make a special effect, so I exported 8 bars of my song to audio and imported this back.
I tried to apply an envelope pitch shift to this new audio, with time correction OFF , but it just wouldn't apply... It would process strangely fast, and not change anything in the audio file. It even showed in Offline process history..
How can we submit these errors to Steinberg??
I am teaching electronic music production in Cubase, and this happened in all 6 classes this week... Simply doesn't work...
Please gimme a hand...

I think i remember in your last post your using cubase 4. Try updating to 4.1 and retest some of these issues. and let me know if things are still happening.

Hey Jeff... I'm using Cubase Studio 4.
I updated to 4.1, really liked the new stuff... especially the new sample editor with the new warping/hitpoint functions... Cubase is getting even more musical..
The pitch shift issue is still not fixed, i'll see about the Battery3's output routing issue today and tell you later on ok? would you be able to tell anyone @ Steinberg??

I'm happy to say that Battery3's audio output routing is now working in 4.1!
Still, envelope pitch shift w/ time correction OFF isn't working..
I'll make a better list of the functions that I found not working and send you next week.
By the way, when you use the global transpose track and you have sequenced Drums in a MIDI track, the notes are transposed and it screws the drums... A solution to this could be cancelling the transposition when you apply a "Drum Map" to MIDI tracks....
