Ok. I just got the m-audio oxygen 8v2 and installed it into my mac (osx10.5) running C-4. It seems I cant contrrol the parameters on certain programs like halion but i can control certain parameters on certain synths and all the parameters on others. I'm new to midi, by the way

What plug-ins does it have full control with? The Oxygen 8 may have different templates built in for different plugins. If you want to control HalionOne you will want to setup a Generic Remote. Go under Devices-->Device Setup then click the + button and add Generic Remote. In the Generic Remote you can define the input and assign it to a parameter on HalionOne.

Also, all plugs don't use the same CCs to control parameters. You may need to use the Input Transformer to re-assign them.
Use MIDI Ox to find out what CCs are being transmitted for the different functions.
