Re: Exporting Your Project for Burning to CD

I am using Cubase LE 1.10 OEM Presonus- It is the edition bundled with the Presonus Firepod (which I am using) I am not aware of any Compressor or Limiter. I am exporting to 44.1/16 bit (I've tried some other settings but that didn't help) Here is how I have it all set up: When I playback thru Cubase, it sends the signal to the Firepod, which is plugged into a channel of my stereo system via the 2 outs on the back of the firepod. I have the MAIN volume control on the Firepod up about 75%. I am getting a very clear, loud signal this way. The .wav files are being played by winamp. signal is sent from the audio out on the computer into the same stereo system but on a different channel. So I can A-B them very easily and hear the difference. The levels on my projects have plenty of signal- peaking just below 0db. When I convert them to .wav files however, not only do they lose a lot of volume and gain a lot of hiss, they also seem to be lacking in clarity- they sound dulled. I can open them in NERO audio editor and add volume but it just brings up the hiss and still lacks the clarity of the original.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Jared
