I want to try entering the notes manually using the draw tool first and see how it goes before I rush out and buy a MIDI keyboard.

However, I cannot open the key editor because it is dimmed in the menu. It doesn't say anything in the instructions about how to open it if its dimmed or suggest WHY it might be dimmed anywhere that i can find. If I could just get it open, I could PROBABLY figure the rest out. I'd really appreciate if you'd tell me why it is dimmed, and how I can get it to allow me to manually enter notes and play them back on my computer without connecting any external device. I'd like to try it this way first and see if it works for me before going out and purchasing a MIDI keyboard, which I really don't want to do.

and additionally, if you know of any good VSTi piano sounds available for purchase anywhere, could you please direct me to them. I haven't had any luck finding any free ones.
