Hi, I've had a similar problem as Gabe by having to reinstall Sequel onto a reformatted PC running XP (SP3). I requested my new activation code, which I received and registered with no problem. Now, it's the SeL Number that's the problem. I've also had difficulty accessing the License Control Center, which I have tried to access from the Start menu. Whenever I click on the Syncrosoft License Control Center icon, a message is displayed which reads "You have insufficient user rights to access the soft e-licenser". I then clicked the "Repair" button displayed, to which I received the message "It is not possible to fix the file permissions. Please try starting the License Control Center by right clicking on the file and select 'Run as...' from the context menu. Choose a user with administration rights. Click OK and restart the License Control Centre." I had "Current user" selected, since I'm the only one who uses this computer, to which I received an error message saying "License Control Center has encountered a problem and needs to close..." On previous attempts, it would just not allow me to access any further areas to enter any details. I've been unable to find any contact links or tech support on the Steinberg site, or even been able to contact the Steinberg support centre in Melbourne, Australia, where I'm from. I also tried the link posted by Josh, but it, along with slight variations of the same URL (eg. without the .zip extension) have only shown web pages that cannnot be displayed. Any further support on how to solve this "pending license" problem would be most appreciated. I've had this software for months and am really keen to use it, and possibly even upgrade to Sequel 2, but unfortunately, I'm still yet to get past my old demo version. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Freddy. |
