Hi, I'm running Cubase 4 on a new IMac OS X 10.5.2, 2Ghz Intel Core 2 duo with 2GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM I have been doing good until I started running Amplitube and SampleTank which are both more CPU intensive. I have run into latency issues with Amplitube while playing electric guitar and finding when I lower the latency value as low as 128 I got crazy pops and clicks. Overall I have noticed pops and clicks. I want to run at 128 or lower, I am wondering if getting 4GB instead of 2GB would help that at all and alleviate clicks and pops. Also, if there are any other settings I could make to lower the amount of pops and clicks and be able to record guitar without a delay. One more thing...If I am playing the guitar at 256 buffer size and there is a slight delay will it match up to the actually click I hear? Are there any additional recommended settings to compensate for a delay in recorded track. Thanks Tobo |
