Hello,
I finished an album* a little while ago, and am looking for tips/stories from other people about promoting it. I have mine out on several sites, but I've only seen money from CD-Baby. The other sites show that I've sold there, but I've never been paid (this includes iTunes).
I guess it comes down to 2 questions:
1) How do I collect from people like iTunes? What is the best way to monitor sales on a given site?
2) Where are there good host sites where I can pay for advertisement to increase sales (so far I haven't spent a dime on promo).
Thanks for your help. And remember, no matter if it's a CD, a cassette, an 8-Track, or a folder in iTunes, it's still an ALBUM.
* Yes, it is on CD, but it's still an album. A collection of songs, photos, etc. is an album regardless of the medium. Got it? :-)

Gotta agree with you, I'll even go so far as to still call it a record.
I have friends that setup through CD Baby and that's how they got on iTunes, but I don't know whether iTunes pays them directly or via CD Baby. Sorry I don't have more info or advice.
