File Conversion
      #5106 - 12/27/07 08:25 PM

Eleven years ago I purchased Cubase Score 3.0. I have 22 ".all" files that I'd like to convert to ".mid" midi files or the new "xml 2.0" files. Anybody out there have any ideas? I've tried loading the old 3.0 version into my Windows XP SP2 without success. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. Dennis Rittenhouse

Hello Dennis,

I've never used Score 3.0, but I would imagine the most likely scenario is to go to File, Export, Midi File, and export the project this way.

Then in the current version of Cubase, choose File, Import, Midi File. I hope this helps.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the quick follow-up. Do you have any suggestions on how to load Cubase Score 3.0 into my Windows XP SP2.0 format? OR, how 'bout this? Our church has 10+ processors in the basement junk pile. Supposing I find one with a Windows 95 OS. Load the Cubase into the Windows 95, and then save the files as .mid? Copy them onto a disk, and then, from a 3 1/2 floppy, will they play in my Yamaha PSR 620 electronic keyboard? Thanks again. Dennis

Hello,

I guess the best advice I'd have is to just put in the disc and give it a try. You could save the files as a .mid file, and then transfer to the new computer. I'd probably suggest the latter. Hope this helps.
