How nany tracks can I record?

When I assign Input busses (SE-3) I can only assign 4. They may be stereo or mono. Does this mean I can only recod 4 seperate parts simultaneously?

4 Stereo input busses will get you 8 mono tracks at a time.

Read the manual last nite (imagine that!) It clearly state one can creat unlimited busses. It does not dicriminate between Input and Output but would seem Input would be more useful.
Why Can't I add more that 4 input busses? I want 8 mono in's (stamp's foot and pouts...)

Limiting to 4 busses is how they limit the inputs to 8.
