LE 4 - Can you remove a "spike" or record "pop?"
      #6900 - 05/14/08 04:45 AM

I've converted some vinyl to digital, and during some quite passages, I occasionally encounter spikes or record pops. Is there a way to bring down, or remove just those spikes without elaborate editing? Is there any way to chop them down to the same size, or volume, of the passage that's playing

Hello,

When recording from vinyl, vinyl pops are unavoidable due to the nature of the medium but if you are not editing on a zero crossing then you can use the cross fade tool to cross fade the wave forms also.

Thank You,
