le 3 to le 4 and vice-versa?

Hi there. My brother has been using LE 3 that he got packaged with the Tascam US-122L. He just bought me the Tascam US-122L, packaged with LE 4. My question is--can we share projects with the two version of LE? Thanks in advance for your help.

You would be able to open his projects, but once you save the project in 4 he would not be able to open it in the first version of LE.
