I can not get rid of the recording and start over because then obviously i would lose prevous work, how to get it to be "unmapped" and play properly?? Inside Cubase go to devices, VST connections, click on the inputs tab and reassign your inputs under the Device Ports column. Also make sure you have the correct driver for your interface or sound card selected underneath Audio Device.
