Heres the deal, I had to wipe my C drive and do a fresh install of XP Home and all DAW/Plug-ins etc. My audio and Nuendo file info I keep safe on another partition its fine. I have RME Converters to the hilt their drivers are to date and running fine. All media fine
BUT
After reloaded Nuendo/Cubase open, select a project and played back, my disk stream goes through the roof!!!! Now this is a computer that i have recorded/mixed 95 audio tracks at 88.2 with tons of plugs, however before the reinstall thing I bounced all the songs down to 44.1 cause higher will tax my cpu more than I care for now in this stage of my work.
I have tried reinstall again for the DAWs reset my sample rate, though to my knowlege everthing is set how it was before when it worked just fine
!!!!!!!!!!Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going crazy here, the show must go on and I've lost to much time.
What can I do to solve this issue? Again The disk stream goes through the roof when I play back and the project does not want to play properly!!!!
I'm up at first light Monday morning please help
Thank you

Hello,
I'm sorry it has taken me to so long to reply to this. So the audio files are just on another partition of the same drive? Have you updated to 3.2.1? Have you tried defragmenting the audio partition? Thank you.
