I am running 2gs. on my computer. I am using Motu 424 PCI as my sound card. My sample rate per buffer is 2048. Input latency 46.939 Output latency 46.961. The VST Performance meter keeps jumpin around causing static noise. What am I doing wrong. Oh yea, I am only recording 4 tracks and maybe to plugins. What's up?

Hello,
What do you mean by "I am running 2gs." Do you mean a 2 gb processor? Can you be more specific with the processor? What operating system are you on?
What plugins are you using? Are you recording at 44.1 khz or 96 khz? Thank you.

Chris, thanks. All is well now. You are right, my processor is 2Ghz. I was half asleep when I wrote the message. Any way, the problem has been resolved. I have dropped my sample rate to 1024 and now my latency level is around 12 something. I stopped using the "Room Works" plugins. They were causing the Performance Meter to do all kind of crazy things. I now use Kjaerhus plugins the plugins are free and gives me all I need for my vocals.

Hello,
Yes, roomworks is more processor intensive, most reberbs tend to take a lot of calculations because they are basically delay lines with EQ. Glad to hear you're enjoying the Kjaehus plugs, I've checked those out a little bit and they seem cool.

Yea Chris. The reverb is very nice and there is no pull on the Performance Meter. Thanks again for your assistance.
