I'm also new to Pro Audio, so I don't know anything about what all the terminology is supposed to mean. My main interest is using the Virtual instruments to make my own sounds. Does anyone know any tutorial DVD, magazine, or book that would best turn a complete novice into a Cubase 4 sound designing pro? If so, you may want to check out "Sound Advice". This DVD is an in-depth view of programming sounds on the Yamaha Motif, and though this is a specific instrument with specific routings, the inner workings of synths and the dependencies of one part upon another waveforms, LFOs, filters, etc., are the same for synthesis engines pretty much across the board.
