Hey guys, I'm a new user of Cubase 4. I'm also new to Pro Audio, so I don't know anything about what all the terminology is supposed to mean. My main interest is using the Virtual instruments to make my own sounds. Does anyone know any tutorial DVD, magazine, or book that would best turn a complete novice into a Cubase 4 sound designing pro?

I'm assuming you are talking about sound design by way of synth programming. If so, you may want to check out "Sound Advice". This DVD is an in-depth view of programming sounds on the Yamaha Motif, and though this is a specific instrument with specific routings, the inner workings of synths and the dependencies of one part upon another waveforms, LFOs, filters, etc., are the same for synthesis engines pretty much across the board. This DVD contains a lot of information - it's around 9hours long, and you can easily browse to specific sections when you want to learn what a specific parameter is and how you can use it to sculpt your sounds.
