How do you set up a vocoder in C4?
      #4288 - 10/09/07 10:31 PM

Can anyone help me out with setting up a vocoder in C4? I know vocoder basics, but how do I send the modulator & carrier to the vocoder? A quick response will help me from getting too frustrated. Thanks!

To use two audio sources, pan your carrier hard right and your modulator hard left and then route them to a group. Now insert the vocoder in the group and choose Ext. as the carrier source. you may want to try one of the presets like "12 band L/R input" to start with.
To use MIDI to trigger the internal synth on the vocoder, insert it in an audio track and route the output of a MIDI track to it.

...Just a quick note of thanks for the info. Everything's working! Now all I have to do is find a vocoder that I like.

Peace
