My Video playback is jerky and sluggish. Can anything be done to fix it?

To address jerky video playback, try the following:

• Increase the Video Cache size in Cubase/Nuendo in the Preferences>Event Display>Video

• Defragment all hard drives on your computer

• Playback the project and video file from a hard drive that is separate from your Operating System drive.

• Install the latest video codecs for the video file format you are playing back.

• Try different Video playback engines (Quicktime vs. Video for Windows vs. Directshow,etc).

• Increase the amount of RAM (Memory) on your computer to 512 or more.
