What to check if you can't scrub in the sample editor.

If you have altered the configuration in the VST Connections window by adding or removing busses you may experience the problem of no audio playback while using the scrub feature. This will only become a problem if you do not have speakers connected to the outputs Cubase/Nuendo has defaulted to play out of. To make sure you have audio going to the right bus watch the output busses on the mixer while scrubbing the audio to see which it is outputting to. You can reconfigure default output busses in Devices > VST Connections.
