How do I setup my control surface to work with Cubase or Nuendo?

Go to Devices>Device Setup, click on the Add/Remove tab, find your Control surface on this list, click on it and then click on Add at the bottom of the Device Setup window. The control surface should now appear on the left hand side. Click on the Control surface and the click on the Setup tab. Here, select the MIDI in and MIDI out ports that are connected to the MIDI in and out on your control surface. Click on Apply , then OK and your control surface should now begin controlling the transport, mixer and other functions of Cubase/Nuendo.
